Welcome to Peace Portal

Welcome to the Peace Portal, an initiative of the European Centre for Conflict Prevention (ECCP). The Peace Portal is currently in development and will be launched in 2010. The Portal will provide centralised access to diverse information on conflict prevention and peace building. Users will find relevant documents, discuss issues and contribute to conflict prevention and peace building knowledge base. For the ones interested, it is already possible to register and be informed when the Portal is launched.

Some key aspects of the Portal

Open and Accessible: The Portal will be open, accessible and available for reviewing, uploading and downloading information;
Impartial: Information about conflict will be collected from a wide range of sources;
Promoting non-violent and peaceful solutions: Information from a wide range of sources will be shared by all users, and will enable the user to get a more complete picture on conflict prevention and peace building;
Transparent: Full transparency on the sources and other relevant information will be given.

About the Peace Portal

The mission of the Portal is to be main source and opportunity to share and integrate information leading to action aimed at preventing conflicts and building peace. The information on the Portal will be aggregated and verified in an open platform, belonging to all participating organisations. The interactive features of the Portal will support communication and collaboration within and across organisations as well as individuals.
